Pakistan’s first ever camp city

Though Pakistan is one of the best tourist destinations in the world, you must admit there are several aspects of adventure activities that the country lags behind in. But not anymore! For the first time ever in Pakistan, FMA is introducing a tent city at the three-day Lahooti melo.

Don’t know what a tent city is? It is basically a temporary housing facility made by using tents instead of buildings. Its chiefly a camp site where people can comfortably reside for a few days. Though this concept was initially introduced for refugees and soldiers, the idea was later on used for a different variety of festivals that took place all over the world.

The benefit of a tent city for a festival? It’s cheap compared to a hotel accommodation and saves you travelling cost since it is situated near the festival grounds. It also gives you a chance to experience all aspects of the festival while being close to nature at the same time. Imagine being away from the technological clutter and having yourself focus all your energies on a singular adventure.

If you are travelling solo, a camp city will aid you in befriending new people and creating memories that will last you a lifetime. If you are travelling in a group, staying in a tent city will help strengthen your friendship since a night at a camp means more time to bond and converse.

Most importantly, you get to be involved in all the features of the event and there is literally nothing you will miss out on.

Fret not, the tent city is not only for men and it is completely safe for women and families to book themselves a camp too. The premises also has a zone called ‘Pink city’ that is specifically for ladies. Trust us, there couldn’t be a better opportunity to go on a girls trip!

Here’s a little more about the Lahoot Melo – the festival is all about music, dance, poetry and arts. The event explores the depths of Sindhi culture and is famous for its unique contemporary Sufi music performers. Being held in Jamshoro Sindh, the fifth annual Lahooti Melo will be held on February 14th, 15th and 16th, 2020.

So what are you waiting for? Be a part of history by booking yourself a camp in Pakistan’s first tent city.
